About LaRSiS
The Network, Distributed Systems, and Security Lab is a research group from the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGInf) of the Federal University of Paraná State (UFPR), in Curitiba, southern Brazil.
Its main research themes are related to:
- Distributed Systems
- Computer Networks
- Operating Systems
- Computer Security
LaRSiS offers a computing infrastructure that allows students to run and evaluate their research projects, like PlanetLab, and local computing resources. The group's projects are funded by public agencies like CNPq and Fundação Araucária, and also institutions having interest in research, like RNP (Brazilian National Research and Educational Network). Such fundings provide scholarships for students participating in the group activities, and also help to improve the available infrastructure.
